Home Core Services High-Performance Computing Facility

The High Performance Computing Facility (HPCF) of CPOS Bioinformatics Core is now available for computationally intensive biocomputing analysis. The facility was established by the Department of Psychiatry and the Strategic Theme for Genomics with the support of the University Development Fund and the Faculty of Medicine. To facilitate utility by wider community, it was incorporated into the Core in May 2012.

HPCF provides hardware and IT technical services to support bioinformatics and biocomputational research of the University and global collaborative initiatives. Currently the high performance computing cluster consists of 24 nodes, each with at least 12 CPU cores and 48GB physical memory. These cluster nodes are connected to an array of disk storage with a total capacity of ~320 TB through the 10 Gigabit network. The largest node in our cluster is a high-computing server with 64 CPU cores and 256GB physical memory.
